2014短期课程：摄影实践与创造性思维(晚班)

这不是数码摄影课程，你将接触和学习到的是最传统的胶片和各种无摄像机摄影术；
你会发现一个很不同的摄影领域，新鲜而充满未知，并且正是因为这份未知而充满了各种创作的可能性。
这次的学习无关乎最前沿的器材设备，却带你深入摄影的腹地。对摄影知识的饥渴，对黑白影像的热情，对光的执着和诚意，将一览无余的呈现在你的摄影作品之中。

在课程中我可以期待什么？：

首先，你将会学习/提高专业摄影器材的使用技能（数码和胶片），拍摄影像，在暗房里制作和实践你的黑白摄影作品；

此外，你也可以选择体验无摄影机式摄影 (camera-less photography) ， 相关的专业手法将包括针孔摄影 (Pinhole) ， 摄影暗箱 (Camera Obscure) ，摄影蓝图 (Cyanotypes) 和黑影照片(Photograms) 等。

同时，我们也会尝试工作室灯光摄影，制作光型雕塑（light sculptures），训练动态摄影技巧。 整个课程的教学宗旨和目标就是---印刷。从照相机或数码屏幕中拍摄所获得的影像图形最终能作为成系列的印刷制品，在课程结束后的摄影展中成功展出。

除此以外，你还可以得到： 和摄影老师一对一的专业辅导一次，他可以给你看作品集，解答你各种和摄影相关的问题； 课程结束后的一个月你仍然可以使用我们的专业暗房，我们每个星期有一天的工作室开放日，详情请咨询我们或上官网查询。

Day 1
Introductory lecture
What is expected from the course and what we should achieve. Discussing questions like 'What is Fine Art Photography?' Discovering ideas and inspirations while encouraging a broad discussion on contemporary fine art photography, facilitated by a power point presentation on the history of photography; from the birth of photography to what is seen in contemporary art galleries and international art fairs today and what we might expect in the future. What equipment the various types of photographers and artists use.

查理将告诉你在课程中你可以期待，可以学习并最终达到完成的是什么? 课程中会一起讨论很多问题，比如"你认为什么是艺术性摄影？"查理会以幻灯的形式为大家简要展现西方摄影史，在剖析各时代不同艺术特色和创作灵感的同时引发学生们对摄影当代性的广泛讨论；从摄影的诞生到如今五花八门的当代先锋摄影展和各类国际艺术节，我们对未来的摄影发展该有怎么样的期待？职业摄影师和艺术家们现在都在用什么样的摄影器材？

Introductory practical lessons
An introduction to the equipment we shall use over the week including Cameras, Lens, Flashes and Tripods and how they work. Discussing what film is and how to load a film camera. Using darkroom enlargers and film processing equipment. Learning to expose using the shutters and the aperture. Learning what is Depth of field and what is composition.

专业实践介绍
查理会简要向大家介绍各类专业摄影器材如专业相机，镜头，闪光灯，三脚架等；但更重要的是在接下来整个星期,课程会对器材运用的学习。课程中会探讨电影的含义并学习如何摄影。学习使用快门和光圈进行曝光。学习摄影中的景深和构成。



Day 2
Photograms and Chemigrams.
This is a good practical introduction and a health and safety induction about the chemicals used in the dark room. Photograms and Chemigrams are a 'Camera-less' photographic technique where objects are placed on photographic paper and exposed leaving a ghost like shadow. Beautiful images of a translucent quality and delicate objects can be made. In addition we can explore alternative digital techniques. We shall discuss the out come of our images at the end of day.

黑影照片是一个很好的摄影实践入门课题，在这个课题中你可以很安全的接触和学习到暗房中所需要使用的化学物质。所谓黑影照片就是把物体放在专业相纸上，通过特殊曝光形成奇怪阴影的一种摄影手法。最终形成的摄影图像往往具有高品质的半透明效果，物品的细节也可以很好地保留下来。


Day 3
Talk on the importance of composition, balance and continuity. 35mm Black and White Film and Cameras
We will then venture out with our film cameras and with the project of 'Light and Movement' in mind. We will use the tripods and long exposures and movement of light. Student will be learning to compose an image correctly with understanding of focus, exposure and depth of field. As a film only has 36 shots we will learn how to edit and to be economical with the shot.

35mm 黑白胶片和相机
我们将于" 光与动态"主题作为开篇，尝试运用我们手中的相机。我们将会用到三脚架，体验长曝光技巧，调灯光产生不同拍摄效果。学生在课程的学习中会对摄影有一个更专业而且深入的理解，这帮助他们拍出更加精准的了解对焦，曝光和景深。胶卷一般只有36张底片，课程中也会学习如何编辑和节省这些底片。



DAY 4
Film Processing
By this time the student should have a films exposed and ready to process. Learning how to load a film into a processing tank in complete darkness! Make up chemicals to the correct ratio and temperature and processing the film in the accurate amount of time.

此时同学们应该已经有成卷的马上可以冲洗的胶卷啦!我们将会学习如何在漆黑的暗房中把底片放进处理池中洗印！要有成功的相片，我们要有精确的化学配比，适宜的温度，还有对时间的准确把控。

Contact Sheet
Back in the dark room: Using the same principle as a Photogram to see your negatives as positives. This is a good way of selecting the best shots you have taken. Preparing for printing.

回到暗房：使用和冲洗黑影照片一样的原则来把你手中的"负片"显出"正片"的效果。这是一个非常好的方法帮助你鉴别和挑选最好的摄影作品。同时，也是为接下来的印刷做准备。




DAY 5
Developing and Darkroom Skills

Using the enlargers we can now print from our negatives. Learning techniques such as 'Burn and Dodge' and also the various grades of contrasts. 深入发展和暗房技能 使用图像放大机，我们可以开始影印我们的底片。学习和练习更多影印技能例如"减淡和加深"，尝试不同程度对比度。


Day 6
Talk on pinhole cameras and Camera Obscrua.
Pinhole cameras and camera obscura.
Cameras can be made from just about anything! We will explore all the possibilities we will make our own, photograph and then produce prints also we will create a Camera Obscure where we will turn a room into a 'Camera Obscura'.

暗箱
自己动手做照相机很容易！我们将开拓种种可能性来做我们的非主流照片。我们会做个暗箱，把房间则变成一个巨型的照相机等等。



Day 7
Cyanotype is one of the oldest and beautiful forms of light sensitive prints. The vibrant blue liquid can be painted on fabric or papers.

With our collection of images we can then edit and print on acetate making large negatives to then print as Cyanotypes. The print can be exposed under sunlight or with a UV box.

Day 8
Further Darkroom use.
自己练习操作前7天学习的知识，老师会在旁给于一对一辅助指导。

Day 9
We can create 'Light Sculptures and Paintings'
- the movement of light to make beautiful shapes and patterns and can light subject in a surreal and majestic way on to found object and architecture.

我们可以自己制作"光型雕塑和绘画"--- 光线的动向可以绘制出美妙无比的形状和图案，可以使周边的事物呈现出梦幻和魔术般地感觉。

查理是一名英国当代艺术家，他在伦敦拥有自己的美术馆（查理·达顿美术馆）,他的本科和研究生都毕业于伦敦艺术大学中央圣马丁学院，本科是纯艺术专业，研究生是摄影专业。

查理在很多知名院校都开设过摄影相关的讲座和专业实践课程，与此同时，他也和伦敦其他美术馆就艺术展览，项目策划和新兴创意产业有着丰富而多元的合作关系。
